Our sustainable approach

We’re here for the long haul, and that means making certain our methods and practices are ethical and sustainable. Our vision is to deliver a carbon neutral end-to-end supply chain, supporting the pursuit of carbon reduction at every stage of the journey. We’re excited about the impact we can have supporting both our customers and the supply chain.

Ocean Custodians

We see ourselves as ocean custodians, protecting the beauty of Scotland’s pristine waters to ensure they thrive for future generations. We’re proud to work with Nature Scot to supply data-based reports, proving our approach guarantees the biomass in our harvest zone remains constant, if not increasing year on year.

Future-proofed

The House of Seaweed is home to innovation. That’s why we’re looking at new energies and ways to reduce, reuse or eliminate the use of fossil fuels. We are commissioning a new energy efficient factory which includes Combined Heat and Power (CHP) technology, achieving a 95% recirculatory efficiency.

Our expansion plans will also look to ground source heat pumps and solar. forward all aspects of carbon reduction. On completion, we will be able to accurately measure the carbon footprint of our products right from the ocean through to the very end of our supply chain.
